Tacoma Power - Residential Weatherization Rebate Program

October 20, 2014

Summary

Tacoma Power helps residential customers increase the energy efficiency of homes through the utility's residential weatherization program. Weatherization upgrades to windows are eligible for an incentive payment of up to $1,000. Customers who pursue ceiling, floor, and wall insulation coupled with duct sealing are eligible for an incentive payment of up to $3,450. Zero-interest loans are available to help customers cover any remaining costs of these improvements. Tacoma Power requires customers to use participating contractors. After a project is complete, Tacoma Power will inspect all the work to ensure that quality standards are met. Eligible homes must have been built before 1988 and be electrically heated.  Visit the utility's website for more information on specific program details and incentive guidelines.
