Puget Sound Energy - Energy Efficiency Custom Retrofit Grant Program

Summary

PSE can provide a custom retrofit grant for any energy-efficiency project that meets specified cost-effectiveness criteria and other PSE program requirements. To be eligible, customers must purchase electricity and/or natural gas for commercial, industrial or other non-residential facilities from PSE at the site where the equipment or system is installed. Projects may involve HVAC systems, process improvements, heat recovery, variable speed drives and lighting upgrades. Custom retrofit grants require pre-approval and are subject to availability of incentives. Contact PSE for additional information.

Custom Grants (non-lighting retrofits): Up to $0.45/kWh or $7/therm of annual energy savings

Pay for Performance
Year 1 Incentive: Up to 50% of the Base Incentive: Up to $0.45 per kWh saved or Up to $7 per therm saved
Years 2 – 5 Incentives: Up to 25% of the remaining base incentives + annual performance incentive: $0.05 per kWh saved or $0.50 per therm saved

Telecommunications Efficiency Program: $0.05 - $0.45 per kWh saved
Maximum Incentive: Business Lighting (lighting retrofits): Up to 70% of the total cost of equipment and installation
Congeneration/Combined Heat: Up to 70% of the incremental cost
Custom Grants (non-lighting retrofits): Up to 70% of the total cost of equipment and installation
