Grays Harbor PUD - Non-Residential Heat Pump and Economizer Rebate Program

May 11, 2009

Summary

Grays Harbor PUD offers commercial, industrial, and institutional (e.g. schools, government) customers rebates when they install qualifying heat pumps or economizers. All projects must conform to current Washington State Energy Code requirements (including economizer) to be eligible for rebate. Rebate amounts are calculated based upon annual kilowatt hours saved at the rate of $0.10/KWh, up to 50% of project cost. Eligible projects must have a simple payback analysis of one year or more (without the effect of the rebate). More information regarding program details and application forms can be found on the program website. To qualify for this rebate, buildings primarily heated with electric heat must include heat pumps in the retrofit. Economizer rebates are available regardless of type of heating fuel.
