Johnson City Power Board - Residential Heat Pump Loan Program

July 17, 2009

Summary

Johnson City Power Board, in collaboration with the Tennessee Valley Authority, offers financing to its residential customers for new electric heat pumps through its Residential Heat Pump Program. Maximum loan value is $7,500, which covers the installation of the heat pump system. A total of $10,000 is available for individuals installing two units or a specialty heat pump. Customers may pay the loan off at any time with no penalty and loan payments are added to customers’ monthly energy bills. All applicants must choose a Quality Contractor Network Member to be eligible for financing. After the unit has been installed, the QCN Member must contact TVA to schedule an inspection in order to ensure that the unit has been installed to standards. Customers who are interested in the program are asked to contact JCPB’s Marketing Department at 952-5142 or email to schedule an appointment to complete the application forms or to receive an information packet by mail.
