Cass County Electric Cooperative offers a low-interest loan to help residential members finance energy-efficiency improvements in their homes. The minimum loan amount is $500. The maximum loan amount for installing efficient heating/cooling equipment is $5,000, and the maximum amount for weatherization, efficient water heaters and efficient fireplaces is $3,000. Both categories of loans are available for terms of up to five years. Approval of the loan application is contingent upon a credit check.
