Progress Energy Carolinas - Residential Energy Efficiency Loan Program

Summary

Progress Energy Carolinas provides financing to help its residential customers install energy saving products in their homes. Loans are available for up to $20,000 with up to 10 years to repay for energy efficient heating and cooling systems, storm windows and doors, insulation and other energy-saving home improvements. The loans are backed by Fannie Mae and administered through AFC First Financial Corporation. Loans are available at a fixed rate with no collateral, closing costs or extra fees involved. All work must be completed by an approved contractor. The contractor will also help potential participants fill out the loan application. Customers should wait for approval before you begin work with a contractor.
