NV Energy (Southern Nevada) - Energy Plus Builder Efficiency Program

August 27, 2014

Summary

NV Energy offers the Energy Plus New Homes Program provides rebates to certified builders in the NV Energy service territory that build high-efficiency homes. (Rebates are only available to home builders.) The program awards incentives to home builders that exceed Nevada’s energy efficiency standards. Certified Energy Plus New Homes are built to exceed the energy efficiency of a standard home by 30 percent - doubling ENERGY STAR standards. An independent Home Energy Rating System (HERS) Rater grades the efficiency of the home according to Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET) standards. To qualify, the home must score a 70 (ENERGY STAR requires a score of 85, the lower the score the better).
