Wild Rice Electric Cooperative - Residential Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Summary

In order to encourage energy efficiency among its customers, Wild Rice Electric Cooperative, in association with the Minnkota Power Cooperative, Inc. and the Northern Municipal Power Agency, offers rebates for the purchase of qualifying energy efficient equipment. The following measures are eligible for rebates under this program:
  • Clothes Washers
     
  • Compact Fluorescent Lights
     
  • Water Heaters
     
  • Furnaces
     
  • Air Source Heat Pumps
     
  • Geothermal Heat Pumps

Maximum Incentive: CFL bulbs: limit 12
Geothermal Heat Pumps: $2,500 (open-loop); $5,000 (closed loop)
Eligible System Size: Water Heater: 80 gallons
Equipment Requirements: Clothes Washers: must be Energy Star rated
Water Heater: EF greater than 0.90. Must be controlled under the load management program
Furnace: Must include ECM Motor on indoor blower
Air-source Heat Pump: 14.0 SEER, 8.2 HSPF
Mini-Split/Ductless Air-Source Heat Pumps: 15 SEER
Geothermal Heat Pumps: 16.2 EER and 3.6 COP (open loop); 14.1 EER and 3.3 COP (closed loop)
