Minnesota Power - Power Grant Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

June 21, 2011

Summary

Minnesota Power Power Grant Rebate Program provides rebates to its commercial, industrial, and agricultural customers for installing energy efficient lighting, electric motors and agricultural equipment. Rebate amount is based on kilowatt (kW) or kilowatt-hours (kWh) saved over the life of the energy saving equipment. The rebate amounts listed above are for retrofit projects; incentives for new construction may be less.

The maximum annual rebate available to a customer will be determined by average billing demand based on the following schedule:

Customer Demand Maximum Rebate(s)
0 to 100 kW $10,000
101 to 300 kW $25,000
Over 300 kW $50,000

Equipment must have an expected life of greater than 10 years to be eligible. Customers must contribute an amount greater than or equal to the estimated annual electric cost savings.
