Great River Energy (GRE) member cooperative utilities* offer a rebate of $2,000 per kilowatt for grid-connected solar-electric (PV) systems, with a maximum award of $4,000 per customer. For installations after July 1, 2008 systems installed by a NABCEP certified contractor are eligible for a rebate of $2,250 per kW up to $4,500. This program, available to member utilities' residential, commercial and industrial customers, began in September 2005 and is subject to availability of funding. GRE's rebate for PV systems may be combined with the state's solar-electric rebate, which also a rebate of $1.75-$2.00/W for residential and small business PV systems.
