NSTAR (Electric) - Construction Solutions Program

Summary

*Incentive inactive: for informational purposes only. See MassSave Programs NSTAR non-residential customers conducting new construction projects or undertaking a major renovation project are eligible to participate in the Construction Solutions Program. The program provides incentives for purchasing and installing high-efficiency equipment for use in commercial and industrial operations. NSTAR offers incentives of 90% of the incremental cost differential for comprehensive design or up to 75% of the incremental cost differential between standard base line and high-efficiency equipment. In addition, customers are eligible to receive cost sharing for engineering services and design and commissioning services. Rebates are available for:

Performance Lighting: total reduced watts multiplied by $1.20
Indirect Low Glare Lighting: Rebates vary (see rebate form or contact NSTAR)
HVAC Equipment: $50 - $175/ton
HVAC Unitary Controls and ECM Motors: $150 - $250
HVAC Chillers: $10 - $20/ton with additional rebates for higher than required EER values
Motors: $45 - $700 (depending on type and efficiency)
Variable Speed Drives: $1,350 - $3,550
Air Compressors: $45 - $110/Hp
Refrigerated Dryers: $5 - $7/CFM
Storage (with new compressed air system): $2.75/gallon
Advanced Buildings: $0.74 - $1.56/sq ft (depending on building type)
Maximum Incentive: 90% of the incremental cost differential for comprehensive design
75% of the incremental cost differential between standard base line and high-efficiency equipment
