Louisiana's community solar rules were established in September 2019, when the Louisiana Public Service Commission approved changes to the state’s rules for distributed generation facilities (per Docket No. R-33929). For Entergy, the rules are described in its Optional Community Distributed Generation Rider.
Participants may subscribe to a portion of a system up to 100% of their energy consumption. Subscribers will receive bill credits for their proportionate share of the system's production based on the avoided cost rate.
