Louisiana Community Solar Rules

Summary

Louisiana's community solar rules were established in September 2019, when the Louisiana Public Service Commission approved changes to the state’s rules for distributed generation facilities (per Docket No. R-33929). For Entergy, the rules are described in its Optional Community Distributed Generation Rider

Participants may subscribe to a portion of a system up to 100% of their energy consumption.  Subscribers will receive bill credits for their proportionate share of the system's production based on the avoided cost rate.
