Kansas City Board of Public Utilities - Commercial Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Summary

The Kansas City Board of Public Utilities provides incentives for commercial customers to install, or upgrade, to energy-efficiency equipment in new and existing facilities. Rebates are available for electric and dual-fuel heat pumps, electric resistance heating systems, and new electric water heaters.  Rebates can also apply to all-electric apartment units. Equipment Requirements: Cooling/heating equipment using energy sources other than electricity do not qualify for the program.
Installation Requirements: Heating and cooling equipment must be installed by an HVAC dealer registered in Kansas City, Kansas. A BPU Commercial Energy Representative will inspect the site to verify equipment installation before the rebate is issued.
