Summary

Linn County Rural Electric Cooperative Association (Linn County RECA) is a member-owned cooperative. To encourage energy efficiency, Linn County offers a number of rebates to commercial and industrial customers with greater than 75 kW in non-coincidental 15-minute demand during the billing months of December, January, February, June, July and August.  Contact Linn County RECA for precise requirements and rebate amounts. Incentive Amount: Motors
Variable Frequency Drives: $35 / per horse power of fan or pump being controlled

Heat Pumps
Closed Loop Ground-Source Heat Pump: $400/ton first 40 tons, $175/ton in excess of 40 tons.
Air-Source Heat Pump: $300/ton first 40 tons, $125/ton in excess of 40 tons.

Custom Incentives
Incentives is $200 per kW reduced (Based on Linn County RECs peak demand), incentive cannot exceed 50% of the project cost.

Electric Vehicles
Electric Vehicle Level II Chargers: $1000 per charger
Level II Forklift Chargers: $1000 per charger

Building Operator Certification
$700 per student (Limited to 2 students per year)
Maximum Incentive: Variable Frequency Drives: $10,000 per service address
Closed Loop Ground-Source Heat Pump: $40,000 Rebate Per Service Address
Air-Source Heat Pump: $40,000 Rebate Per Service Address
Custom incentive cannot exceed $50,000 per service address annually.

Electric Vehicles
Electric Vehicle Level II Chargers: $4,000 Rebate Per Service Address
Level II Forklift Chargers: $4,000 Rebate Per Service Address
Eligible System Size: Custom Incentive: Project must save a minimum of 3 kW of demand reduction
Building Operator Certification: Available to Linn County REC members with facilities ≥ 50,000 sq. ft. and consumes ≥ 1,000,000 kWh annually
Equipment Requirements: Custom Incentive: The equipment or process must operate at least four consecutive hours daily between 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. to be eligible for an incentive.
