LaGrange County REMC - Business Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

Summary

LaGrange County REMC, in conjunction with the Wabash Valley Power Association's Power Moves program, offers a variety of rebates for the purchase and installation of energy efficient equipment. The program may be changed or cancelled at any time without notice and program funds are limited. Incentives are available on a first-come, first-served basis. 

For custom projects, the rebate incentive is $.05/kWh savings in the first year for lighting or lighting controls projects or $.08/kWh savings in the first year for non-lighting project or a maximum of $50,000.

Incentive Amount: Air-cooled unitary packaged A/C and split systems: $75/ton
Packaged terminal heat pumps: $50/unit
Ground source heat pumps: $75/ton
Air source heat pumps: $60/ton - $75/ton
Variable frequency drives (on HVAC equipment): $100/HP
Room air conditioners: $20/unit
Refrigeration door/frame heater controls: $50/door
Economizers: $150/unit
Night covers: $6/ linear foot
Programmable thermostats: $20/unit
Chillers: $25/unit - $40/unit
Maximum Incentive: The maximum total prescriptive incentive payment per member is $25,000 per year. The incentive payment cannot exceed 75% of the total project cost. Self-labor cannot be included in total project cost. For custom projects: $50,000, the maximum incentive cannot exceed 50% of the project cost. Project must fall between 1 and 7 years payback.
Equipment Requirements: Equipment removed must meet the requirements listed on the application.
Installation Requirements: The equipment must be installed and operational on or after January 1, 2015, and on or before December 31, 2015.
