Jackson County REMC - Energy Efficiency Rebate Program

February 07, 2023

Summary

Jackson County Rural Electric Membership Corporation (REMC) offers a variety of rebates for energy efficient equipment installed and operating in the current program year. Homes or structures connected to Jackson County REMC are eligible for the rebate. Rebates are available for heat pump water heaters, geothermal, air source, dual fuel, and ductless mini-split heap pumps. All equipment must meet certain standards listed on the program website, and rebate amounts generally vary depending on the efficiency of the equipment. Most rebates are available for new construction and replacement equipment. To qualify, the home in which the equipment is installed must be occupied year-round. The rebates to geothermal, air source, dual fuel, and ductless heat pumps can be doubled with an energy management switch installed on both the air conditioner and the water heater. If a communicating thermostat is installed, energy management switch only needs to be installed on the water heater. A purchase receipt and a copy of the manufacturer's SEER rating information must accompany a completed incentive request form, which is located on the program web site. Deadline for rebate applications is December 15 of the current program year.
