Hawaii Energy provides financial incentives for utility customers to install electric vehicle charging stations that are either publicly available; serve multiple tenants, employees or customers; or serve EV fleets. New installations of Level 2 stations can qualify for a rebate of $4,500 per networked station, and retrofit Level 2 networked stations can qualify for $3,000. Additional funding is available for stations installed at affordable housing properties. DC fast-charging stations can qualify for a rebate of $35,000 for a new networked station or $28,000 for a retrofit station.
