Summary

Orlando Utilities Commission's (OUC) Home Energy Fix-Up Program provides assistance to low-income residential customers. To qualify for the program the total annual family income must not exceed the maximum income specified by OUC, the participants' must live in a single family home and have good credit standing with the utility. Eligible customers can have a variety of energy saving measures added to eligible homes, and OUC will pay 85% of the cost up to $2,000. Improvements include attic insulation, caulked windows and weather-stripped doors, the addition of insulation to water heaters and water heater pipes, as well as minor duct work. A free Residential Energy Survey is required before work can begin.
