Solar Contractor Training Programs

Summary

Although solar contractor certification is not a requirement in Colorado, both the Colorado Solar Energy Industries Association (COSEIA) and Red Rocks Community College offer training programs. COSEIA offers a one-day training workshop and contractor certification. Certification requirements include one year of experience in solar installation and repair and a passing score on an exam administered by COSEIA. Red Rocks Community College offers a two year Associate of Applied Science Degree in Active Solar Installation and Maintenance through its energy technologies program.
