Clean Vehicle Rebate Project (CVRP)

Summary

Effective November 8, 2023, CVRP is closed to new applications.

The California Clean Vehicle Rebate Project (CVRP) provides incentives designed to make electric vehicles more affordable. Incentives are available for fuel cell electric vehicles, battery electric vehicles, and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles. 

The maximum income eligibility levels to qualify for a rebate are as follows:

  • $135,000 for single filers (includes married filing separately)
  • $175,000 for head-of-household filers
  • $200,000 for joint filers (includes qualifying widow(er) with dependent child and married filing jointly)
