The Volkswagen Mitigation Trust Fund was created by a Consent Decree between the Volkswagen Corporation and the United States Justice Department. Eligible projects to reduce NOx emissions from diesel equipment and vehicles must include the replacement and repowering of existing diesel vehicles or equipment with cleaner alternatives that still serve the same purpose.
