Georgia Power customers may be eligible for rebates up to $250 each toward the installation costs of a 50 gallon or greater solar water heater or heat pump water heater. The solar water heater or heat pump water heater rebate offers may be eligible for additional rebates if converting from natural gas. These rebates cannot be combined with the Georgia Power's Marathon water heater rebate offer.
Eligible systems must be installed by an industry-specific state licensed contractor who is registered with Georgia Power as a Program Participating Contractor. Registered contractors are also required to be certified Building Performance Institute Analysts.
