Broward County - Green Power Purchasing Policy

Summary

Broward County supports the President’s Climate Action Plan, congressional action on climate change, and the southeast Florida regional climate change compact. This resolution establishes goals for renewable energy and energy efficiency in county buildings and operations, while providing an effective date.

In support of the President’s Climate Action Plan the Board of County Commissioners establishes a goal to consume twenty percent (20%) of the electricity for County government operations from renewable energy sources as soon as practicable.
