The Colorado Governor's Energy Office is providing rebates to Colorado residents who purchase and install qualifying photovoltaic (PV), solar water heating, and wind energy systems. Xcel Energy and Black Hills customers do not qualify for PV rebates due to existing incentives. Customers of other utilities may be subject to smaller incentives through this program if their utility has existing incentives. Rebates are only available for equipment purchased on or after April 19, 2010 while funds are available. Interested Colorado homeowners can apply for rebate reservations online at the website above. After receiving a reservation confirmation from the GEO, the homeowner can go ahead with the purchase.
In addition to these rebates for renewable energy equipment, the GEO also has rebates for certain energy efficiency purchases.
