State Building Solar Requirements

Summary

California's existing and new building construction standard requires solar energy equipment to be installed on all existing state buildings and state parking facilities where feasible, no later than January 1, 2007. It also would require solar energy equipment to be installed, where feasible, as part of the construction of all new state buildings and state parking facilities that begin construction after December 31, 2002.
